New Twist On A Trusted Device

What are metered dose inhalers (MDI)?
Meter dose inhalers (MDIs) are devices that deliver a specific amount of medication to the lungs in the form of a mist or spray. They are commonly used to treat certain conditions via aerosol format.
How do meter dose inhalers work?
Meter dose inhalers work by releasing a measured dose of medication when the canister is pressed down. The medication is then inhaled into the lungs,
What are the benefits of using meter dose inhalers?
Meter dose inhalers offer several benefits for the treatment of respiratory conditions. They provide a convenient and portable way to deliver medication directly. Our divide is a Pulmonary Metered Dose Inhaler.
What is a pulmonary metered dose inhaler (pMDI)?
We focused on Micron sized droplets provide safe and improved targeting with higher bio-availability as compared to less consistent oral dosing.
What is the pMDI Lock Out Function?
Allows physicians to regulate dispensing of medication, prevents patients from accidental dispensing or taking the incorrect dosage and serves as a child-safety function.
What type of connectivity does your pMDI Use?
Nutraceuticals Optimist uses Bluetooth to collect medication usage data, captures real-time patient feedback and allows physicians to remotely adjust and personalize treatment regimens. Nutraceuticals Optimist also accepts integration of third-party devices (Fit Bit, Apple Watch, etc.) allowing for the monitoring of patient vitals before and after dosing events.
Are there any side effects
Like any medication, meter dose inhalers can cause side effects. Common side effects include throat irritation. This is largely due to the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) which had nothing to do with the inhaler.
How often should meter dose inhalers be used?
The frequency of meter dose inhaler use depends on the specific medication and the severity of your condition. We are choosing to introduce our product with our own designed compound. This will be conducted under a clinical trial setting approved by the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
Can meter dose inhalers be used for all
Meter dose inhalers are commonly used for the treatment of asthma and COPD. However, they may not be suitable for all respiratory conditions. Your healthcare provider can provide guidance. Our unique compound is a botanical which will undergo clinical trials to study its impact on those suffering from General Anxiety Disorder.
What is Medication Cartridge Tracking?
This means our pMDI can monitor up to five medications and ensure the patient is using the correct cartridge at the proper dosing time. Each cartridge has a unique identifier, and in the event of a medicine recall, the Nutraceuticals Optimist will lock to prevent future dispensing.
How Do Notifications Work on your pMDI?
Alerts caregivers and patients when it’s time to dispense medication, when it’s time to switch from a daytime to a nighttime formula and when the medicine cartridge is nearing depletion which in turn initiates an automated in-app refill order form.
How Does Data Collection Work with your pMDI?
Powered by a cloud-based HIPAA compliant data collection platform, Nutraceuticals Optimist gathers “condition and symptom specific” patient feedback and makes actionable insights available to practitioners and pharmaceutical researchers, for optimizing medications and treatment regimes to improve patient outcomes.
